Trying out KeepassXC, replacing Bitwarden
After reading several analysis of Bitwarden and their actions lately, I decided to jump the boat (is that the proper expression ?) and find alternatives. The different posts I read seemed to indicate that the early signs of enshitification might be visible over at Bitwarden. So I RUN.
Vaultwarden, Bitwarden selfhosted or Bitwarden-lite are all projects that currently interoperate with Bitwarden clients, but if the entire organisation does something fucky, I'd have to wait for proper forks etc. So I might try something outside the Bitwarden ecosystem.
One of the blogs mentioned AliasVault, an alternative cloud system that has most of the features I'd use in Bitwarden. However, before that, an old alternative had come to mind: KeepassXC.
KeepassXC is a fork of Keepass, a now-defunct password manager. I had seen it recommended
